Our annual prayer retreat "Women Designed by God to Experience
Freedom through Prayer" was a spiritual uplift for all that attended. We
had a great attendance and we want to say "thank you" to Rev. Arnetta
Cornelous-Ivy, Spiritual Life Coordinator who did a great job of planning
this retreat.
Your president has just returned from the annual board meeting in
Anderson, IN and has exciting news to share. Some of you may have been
involved in a Relevance survey that was taken a couple of years ago by
Dr. Weise, Professor at Anderson University about the needs of women
and how these needs can be met. A committee worked last year to come
up with a plan implementing the results. Maybe you can remember when
Women of the Church of God (WCG) was called Women's Missionary
Society (WMS) and when Change the World was Penny-A-Day....???
Change is necessary at times, so we have a new name that was
unanimously voted on at this meeting...."Christian Women Connection".....
A place for every woman where every woman takes her place.

The "Connection" will be going out in December announcing the name change.
In the near future there will also be a DVD and brochures available relating to
the changes. The Connection is automatically sent to all WCG members (now CWC
partners). Also, more information will be available at Convention in April.

| Our scheduled date for prayer is December 17, 2007. We will be praying with others on this date- Vermont, Congo, (DR), Philippines, Antigua and Barbuda. It is called Project Prayer. This will be a 25 day prayer Vigil. |
